14 Day Cleanse: Day 5

I’ve had a big aha while on the 14 Day Community Cleanse with my fellow Health Coaches. (Yes! This will be a product offering when I begin taking clients!) My attempts to stay mindful during my cravings has provided some pretty interesting insights on emotional eating. Turns out all those simple carbs I crave (pasta, baked goods, chocolate etc) aren’t actually things I can’t say no to. They are my go to when I’m feeling overwhelmed with the amount of stuff I have going on or the feelings I’m having in that moment. It’s making me step back and reevaluate how much stress I put on myself and my body when I try to take on every project. I’m astounded that I could (almost secretly)believe that this food is actually protecting me from my life and feelings. I’m also becoming acutely aware of the impact that my choices have on:
1.) my mood
2.) my relationships
3.) the nourishment my body receives &
4.) how I show up as a role model for my daughter

All pretty powerful stuff! I’m grateful for this opportunity and hope sharing my insights can help anyone else.
